Easy Crochet Heart Pattern (Flat Appliqué)

  • Start with a Magic Circle (MC).
  • Chain 3.

  • Work 3 Treble Crochet (TC) stitches into the Magic Circle.
  • Work 3 Double Crochet (DC) stitches into the Magic Circle.
  • Chain 1, make 1 Treble Crochet (TC), then Chain 1 again to form the bottom point.

  • Work 3 Double Crochet (DC) stitches into the Magic Circle.
  • Work 3 Treble Crochet (TC) stitches into the Magic Circle.
  • Chain 3, then Slip Stitch (Slst) into the Magic Circle.

For a Stuffed Crochet Heart (Amigurumi Style)

  • Make two identical small spheres starting with a Magic Ring.
  • Join the two spheres together to create the top of the heart.
  • Continue working in continuous rounds, decreasing gradually to shape the bottom point.

  • Stuff the heart with hollowfiber before closing the last stitches.
