  • Beige or brown yarn for the head and ears
  • White yarn for the muzzle
  • Small amount of black yarn for the nose
  • 2.5 mm or 3.0 mm crochet hook
  • 6 mm safety eyes
  • Fiberfill stuffing
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors
  • Ribbon or yarn for hanging loop

Head (Beige Yarn)

  • R1: Make a magic ring and crochet 6 single crochet into the ring (6 sts)
  • R2: Increase in every stitch around (12 sts)
  • R3: 1 single crochet, 1 increase repeated around (18 sts)
  • R4: 2 single crochet, 1 increase repeated around (24 sts)
  • R5: 3 single crochet, 1 increase repeated around (30 sts)
  • R6: 4 single crochet, 1 increase repeated around (36 sts)
  • R7–R11: Single crochet in each stitch around for 5 rounds (36 sts)

  • R12: 4 single crochet, 1 decrease repeated around (30 sts)
  • R13: 3 single crochet, 1 decrease repeated around (24 sts)
  • Insert safety eyes between rounds 9 and 10, spacing them 6 to 7 stitches apart
  • R14: 2 single crochet, 1 decrease repeated around (18 sts)
  • Begin stuffing the head firmly
  • R15: 1 single crochet, 1 decrease repeated around (12 sts)
  • R16: Decrease in every stitch around (6 sts), fasten off and weave in ends

Muzzle (White Yarn)

  • R1: Make a magic ring and crochet 6 single crochet into the ring (6 sts)
  • R2: Increase in every stitch around (12 sts)
  • Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing

  • Fasten off leaving a tail for sewing, do not stuff

Assembly

  • Sew the muzzle to the center of the face slightly below the eyes
  • Flatten the ears and sew them onto the top of the head around rounds 4 to 5
  • Add optional small pink stitches under the eyes for cheeks
  • Attach a ribbon or yarn loop to the top of the head to create the ornament
