Kitty Face (White Yarn)

  • R1: MR, ch 1, 6 sc into MR. Join with sl st. (6)
  • R2: Ch 1, inc in every st. Join with sl st. (12)
  • R3: Ch 1, 1 sc, inc, repeat 6 times. Join with sl st. (18)
  • R4: Ch 1, 1 sc, inc, 1 sc, repeat 6 times. Join with sl st. (24)
  • R5: Ch 1, 3 sc, inc, repeat 6 times. Join with sl st. (30)
  • R6–R9: Ch 1, sc in each st around. Join with sl st. (30)
  • R10: Ch 1, 3 sc, dec, repeat 6 times. Join with sl st. (24)
  • R11: Ch 1, 1 sc, dec, 1 sc, repeat 6 times. Join with sl st. (18)
  • R12: Stuff with fiberfill. Ch 1, 1 sc, dec, repeat 6 times. Join with sl st. (12)

Crab Shell or Body (Red Yarn)

  • R1: MR, ch 1, 6 sc into MR. Join with sl st. (6)
  • R2: Ch 1, inc in every st. Join with sl st. (12)
  • R3: Ch 1, 1 sc, inc, repeat 6 times. Join with sl st. (18)
  • R4: Ch 1, 1 sc, inc, 1 sc, repeat 6 times. Join with sl st. (24)
  • R5: Ch 1, 3 sc, inc, repeat 6 times. Join with sl st. (30)
  • R6–R12: Ch 1, sc in each st. Join with sl st. (30)
  • R13: Insert the finished Kitty Face inside. Ch 1, 3 sc, dec, repeat 6 times. Join with sl st. (24)
  • Fasten off and weave in ends.

Crab Claws and Eyes

Large Claws (Make 2)

Piece 1:

  • R1: MR, ch 1, 6 sc into MR. Join with sl st.
  • R2: Ch 1, sc in each st. Join with sl st. Fasten off.

Piece 2:

  • R1: MR, ch 1, 6 sc into MR. Join with sl st.
  • R2: Ch 1, sc in each st. Join with sl st. Do not cut yarn.

Joining:

  • R3: Sl st to join pieces. Ch 1, sc around both halves (12). Join with sl st.
  • R4: Ch 1, (2 sc, dec, 2 sc, 2 sc, dec, 2 sc). Join with sl st. (10)
  • Lightly stuff and fasten off.

Small Legs or Claws (Make 4)

  • R1: MR, ch 1, 5 sc into MR. Join with sl st. (5)
  • R2–R3: Ch 1, sc in each st. Join with sl st. (5)
  • Fasten off and cut yarn.

Eyes or Eyestalks

  • Small Eyes: MR, 5 sc into MR. (5)
  • Large Eyes (Base): MR, 8 sc into MR. (8)
  • Fasten off all pieces.

Kitty Bow (Pink Yarn)

  • Ch 2.
  • Into the first ch: 2 hdc, ch 2, sl st in same ch (first loop).
  • Ch 2, 2 hdc, sl st in same ch (second loop).
  • Fasten off and tie the center to form the bow.

Assembly

  • Embroider the Kitty Face using black yarn for eyes and nose.
